The Sun Worshipping religions of the past had serious issues.

The idea of understanding of SunWisdom is not to rebuild a Sun Worshipping Religions of the past that is used to control or intimidate people. The Sun Worshipping religions of the past had serious issues. The Aztec offered human sacrifices to the Sun. The Eqyptian Pharo's claimed to be direct decendants of the Sun and enslaved many people. This is part of the reason that the Jewish tribe needed a human Savior because the Sun God was already claimed and used to supress them. Some say that everything about Jesus was based on older myths personifying the Sun. Many Jews themselves denied that Jesus was God. It wasn't until the Roman Government decided to switch from their Sol Invictus or "Unconqured Sun" state religion to Christianity that the Church gained incredible power.. The Romans then christianized the Calendar. The church over took all indigenous peoples including the Sun revering cultures of Europe including the Celts, the Germans, the Polish, Native American and many more. The church killed many people during the inqusition and suppressed the Heliocentric view of the world. Unfortunatly because of the incredible power of the church, many cultures developed out of harmony with the Sun. The Sun Tribe is trying to revive the lost reverence for the Sun. The Sun Tribe does not worship the Sun but gives thanks and reverence to the Sun. The only belief of the Sun Tribe is that the Sun not be used to supress or control people. Some see the Sun as nothing more than a fusion reactor, but what ever the Sun is, it is a higher power to humankind and a manifestation of the Ultimate Mystery. It provides light and energy to the Earth and deserves graditude and respect.

Why work towards creating a culture that celebrates the sun?

Imagine if every house ever built were orriented towards the Sun.
Our country and the world would not have wasted at least 30% of the energy that we already have wasted.This energy would be available for future generations. We would not have to spend part of our income on heating and cooling and there for would have more wealth or less need to earn as much income. We possibly would have less of a division in wealth between rich and poor. We would have less need to go to war over energy in the future. The Ancient peoples figured out how to orrient themselves to utilize the sun, why have we forgot this knowledge? Because our culture is centered around religions and government run by people who profit off of keeping you dependant and controlled. The first thing that we need to do to break free of their control is to build awareness of how we move relative to the sun and the easiest way to start this understanding is to start public celebrations of the Solstices. The long term goal is to get these days made into Holidays and then evolve/reform the Calendar to align with them.

Understanding the Sun shadows.

The Yin/Yang symbol is derived from the movement of the earth relative to the sun.

When observing the cycle of the Sun, ancient Chinese used a pole posted at a right angle to the ground and recorded positions of the shadow. They divided the year's cycle into a circle 24 Segments of about 15 days, and used six concentric circles, and recorded

the length of shadow. Beginning at the summer Solstice when the shadow was shortest and yin begins and then every 15 days, they plotted the shadow length from the outside of the circle inward until winter Solstice when the shadow was longest and Yang begins. Then they then began plotting the length from the center of the circle outward until the summer Solstice. This is because they believe the Chi energy changes directions right after the Solstice. When they connected all the measurements it resulted in the creation the familiar pattern of the Yin Yang. The Yin Yang would be the opposite color scheme if we were to record them from the southern hemisphere and this pattern would be less dramatic if one were to measure it on the equator. To appreciate the movement of the sun more fully, take pictures of your Eastern horizon and then plot the location of the Sun each month or mark the shadow on the floor of a south facing window with a peice of tape.

If you could capture all the electrical power of the sunlight that falls on the earth in one day, you would have enough power to power the USA's electrical needs for a year!

Solar noon is not our man made clock noon. Solar noon is the Zenith or high point of the Sun in the sky. This can occur either before or after our man made noon due to the orbit of the planet around the Sun. The original meaning of the work noones was midday prayer.

Below is a ~10 min. section concerning the Sun from the movie Zeitgiest. There are some flaws in it visually, but the concept is correct. For example at the Spring Equinox, the planet is actually tilting toward the sun, so it is only in the Northern Hemisphere that we get more light. The Southern hemisphere is getting less light at that time.
